Guidelines

Rules

Hypotheses & working demos

Each project should answer a concrete question about where AI adds value. Ship a working demo against real or realistic test data — not slides or proposals alone.

Web & platform audience

Focus on Back Office, Management, and Executive personas on web and platform. Use Hack Tracks to see which personas each suggested idea supports.

AI at the core

LLMs, statistical ML, anomaly detection, embeddings, constraint scoring — AI should be central to testing your hypothesis, not a thin wrapper.

Solo, pair, or find a match

Work alone, register with a teammate’s email, or mark yourself as looking for a teammate on the board. Max team size is 2.

Demo-ready by Day Two

Your hack should be demo-able by 2:00 PM on Day Two — something running that shows results and what you learned.

New tools require approval

Need new software or services? Get Executive Team approval before the hackathon.

Judging

Everyone demos on Day Two. Judges look at how clearly you tested your hypothesis, the quality of the demo against data, and what we learned about integrating AI — not whether you shipped a production feature. Winners are announced the following week.
